1XI vs Bunbury away:
Vale's 1XI embarked on a lengthy journey to Bunbury, a venue unfamiliar to most of the team. Despite the damp day, the pitch remained solid. Bunbury won the toss and surprisingly chose to field first. Vale’s innings got off to a disastrous start as Alex Power edged the third ball of the match to the keeper, leaving Vale at 0-1. Jack Halsall joined Dwai Sen at the crease and began scoring immediately, with Sen providing solid support. Halsall rapidly reached his half-century, well-supported by Sen. Rain interrupted play, prompting an early tea break and reducing the match to 42 overs per side.
Post-break, Halsall and Sen resumed their partnership effectively until Sen was caught for 38. Langley followed but was dismissed for a duck after three balls, also caught behind. John Ollier managed three runs before departing, while Halsall continued his aggressive play. Nomaan Hasan, aiming for quick runs, saw Halsall reach an outstanding century. Hasan was soon out, and Halsall was joined by Tom Robinson. With one over remaining, Halsall, aiming to accelerate, was caught behind for an impressive 119. Max Lloyd and Tom Robinson pushed the total to 196/6 in the allotted 42 overs.
In response, Bunbury started strong, taking advantage of Vale's poor fielding to reach 50-0 swiftly. Nigel Halsall provided the breakthrough, but Bunbury remained in contention. Tight bowling from Jack Halsall and Max Lloyd, coupled with improved fielding, helped Vale regain control. Pete Phillips delivered a tight spell towards the end, restricting Bunbury to 171-9, securing a 25-run victory for Vale.
2XI vs Mellor at home was abandonded due to rain.
