Another great Saturday for the Vale as both teams beat Glazebury. The star of the 1st XI was a century from Jack Halsall, supported by an unbeaten 50 from Albie Stevens, which enabled the Vale to chase down 166 for the loss of only one wicket. Tom Ollier's 3-49 and skipper Alex Power's 3-16 set the tone for the day.
Meanwhile, away at Glazebury, John Ryan's 49 was the glue that held the innings together to allow the lower order to hit out to reach 175-7. Skipper Graeme Stacey shone with the ball taking 4-42 & taking an athletic catch to boot. Another good all round performance.
